Requirements for Gaining Entrance

 

          Applicants must be practicing and exemplary Christians, active in their church, and their works of charity. They must be dedicated and ready to help those in need, the sick, the orphaned, the old, the infirm, and the oppressed. They are to serve and support the Order in its many operations and works of charity by visiting hospitals, homes for senior citizens, blood donor clinics, and are to attend meetings, ceremonies, and functions as organized by the Order or the Priories they are assigned to.

 

Applicants must state their religion and denomination, name and location of the church they attend, including the name of their Pastor(s).

 

A candidate for knighthood should prove, that he was born in wedlock. The candidate must be free from all obligations. He should have made no vow, nor entered any other Order.

 

Applicants must submit their Curriculum Vitae, date and place of birth, name and religion of spouse if applicable, and 2 recent Passport size photos certified on the reverse by the studio.  

 

Applicants must read the Solemn Vows and fully understand their meaning. The Vows are to be signed and witnessed in the presence of a Pastor or another Knight who is in good standing.

 

Each Postulant, Esquire, or Novice is subject to a trial period of 6 months, minimum, to provide opportunity for proper assessment. In cases of applications not submitted on time, this ruling may be waived at the discretion of the Grand Prior and the Grand Chancellor, with the final approval of the Grand Master and King.

 

All required documents must be handed to the Sponsor who will in turn forward them together with his own recommendation to the Grand Prior and King. Sponsors are responsible to ensure that the Applicant is aware of the history and activities of the Order, his duties, responsibilities, and that all documents submitted are completed correctly.

 

A letter is required from the Applicant informing the Sponsor why he believes he should be considered for membership. The Applicant must state his commitment and potential contributions to the Order. Only after receiving this letter will the selection procedure start.

 

The Sponsor is committed to guide the Applicant in his duties for 1 year.

 

The Passage Fee for Knighthood will cover registration in the International Social Register, Chancery Fees, as well as the Annual Oblation Fee for the current year. All Members are obliged to pay an Annual Oblation, however, any additional donations are encouraged (Fees are subject to change. Tax receipts will not be issued for any Fee).

 

Decorations, Mantle, Diploma, I.D. Cards, etc. will be issued. The accoutrements of the Order, including the Neck Decoration and Mantle, as well as all other property including books and documents, remain the property of the Knights of the Order. They are on issue to the Knight as a tangible symbol of their service to the Order, and must be returned when the Member is no longer in the service of the Order.
