Biblical Text Used in The Account

It has been stated by some of the readers of our text that it would be easier for them to tell whether our Order is built on The Solid Rock of Scripture if we would be so kind as to point out exactly where we are getting our Scriptural references. So in accordance with their wishes and no doubt those of other readers, we have included them here. We hope that by showing this we may wash away any doubt that may be left in anyone’s mind concerning The Order.

Abraham & Lot: Genesis 14; in this chapter is found the story of Abrahams rescue of Lot and their subsequent meeting with Melchizedek.

The new Kingdom & Warriors of the Lord: Revelation 19 v. 11-21, 20 v. 7-9, and 21. The verses contained within these chapters show us that until the very end of the earth there will be warriors of the Lord who are not the angels that are previously found in the previous chapters such as chapter 9.

Moses, Joshua, and David: Exodus,  1-2 Samuel, and 1 Chronicles. These books are an account of the Wars fought by the Jews who were following the will of God. These however do not take into account the Warriors included in Judges, which could also be used here. In addition, for David’s Mighty Men who are referenced here 2 Samuel 23 v.8-39 and 1 Chronicles 11 v. 10-47.

The Maccabees: The Apocrypha, 1-2 Maccabees. While not a Scriptural text according to Protestant beliefs, the story of the Maccabees and others in the Apocrypha do give insight into Jewish Traditions and the works of God as they unfolded in the Inter-Testament period. Through which came such theology as the raising of the dead among other Jewish doctrine alluded to by Jesus in the New Testament.

This is The Orders Biblical footing for the establishment of a Holy Knighthood, and is very similar to the footing used to explain the establishing of our forbearers the Original Crusading Orders of the 11th and 12th centuries. Everything else found in the Account I would hope is rather self-explanatory as support for the ideals held therein can be found in both the Old and New Testaments.
